Powering On & Off

Power on

Press the button once. The LED turns on. The tracker starts broadcasting and, if it’s already paired (all IBIS trackers ship pre-paired), it’ll appear in your SlimeVR Server within a few seconds.

Power off

Hold the button until the LED turns off. The tracker is now fully off and won’t drain battery.

Auto-sleep

If a tracker hasn’t moved for about 15 minutes, it powers itself down automatically to save battery. To wake it, press the button once. This is also why a tracker you left “on” overnight will still have battery left in the morning.

What if a tracker doesn’t turn on?

  1. Make sure it isn’t completely dead — drop it on the charger for 10 minutes and try again.
  2. Check the USB-C port for debris if charging doesn’t engage.
  3. If the LED won’t light at all after a charge, see Charging Issues.

”Reset” vs power

A single press while a tracker is on sends a reset signal (re-zeros rotation, same as a full reset triggered from the SlimeVR window). It does not power the tracker off. If you meant to power off, hold the button instead.

Powering on the whole set quickly

When you’re sitting down to play:

  1. Pop the trackers off the charging dock
  2. Press each button once in order around your body (left foot → right foot → left ankle → right ankle → left knee → right knee → hip → chest → etc.) — this makes it easier to match physical trackers to the body-part assignments in the SlimeVR window
  3. Strap them on
  4. Stand, do a full reset, play
