Chest Harness
The basic chest harness is included with every IBIS set. It holds a chest tracker on your upper torso and stays put through full ranges of motion.
How it wears
The harness is a soft band that wraps around your torso with a tracker tray on the front. It clips behind your back. Shoulders carry no weight — the band sits on your ribcage.
Putting it on
- Step into the harness like a vest, with the tracker tray on the front.
- Position the tray on or above your chest. Mount it as high as the harness comfortably allows — higher placement gives better chest tracking. Anywhere from the upper chest to just below the collarbones is fine; avoid mounting low on the ribs.
- Tighten the band until snug. It should not shift up and down when you raise your arms.
- Slide the tracker into the tray with the USB port pointing down.
Where the chest tracker actually helps
A chest tracker dramatically improves leans, twists, and bending forward — the spine actually bends in VR instead of pivoting at the hip. For full-body VRChat or VR exercise, it’s a real upgrade. For seated-only setups, it’s optional.
Care
- The band is wash-by-hand only. Don’t put it in a dryer.
- Wipe the tracker tray after sweaty sessions.
- If the strap stretches over time, replacement bands are available — reach out via support.
