Comfort / Premium Strap
The comfort strap and premium strap refer to the same product, sold under two names. It’s an optional upgrade over the basic 30 mm silicone-backed straps and is only included with the Premium set (or sold separately as the Premium Strap Bundle). Every non-premium IBIS set ships with basic straps and a basic chest harness instead.
It’s a velcro band with a silicone-lined tracker tray, a routing hook, and clips.
What’s in one strap
- 1 × velcro strap (the band itself)
- 1 × silicone-lined mounting tray (the rectangular part that holds the tracker)
- 1 × routing hook (small open loop the strap threads through after the tray)
- 1 × tracker (already in the rest of your kit)
Assemble the strap
- Find the silicone side of the tray. One side is hard plastic; the other has the silicone grip. The silicone side will face toward your skin so the tray doesn’t slide around.
- Thread the strap through the tray with the silicone facing away from the velcro hooks (i.e., silicone faces outward from the strap roll).
- Loop the strap back through the tray so the velcro hooks now face up, ready to mate with the soft side later.
- Attach the routing hook facing downward (open end down). Thread the velcro tail through the hook.
- Slide the tracker into the tray with the USB-C port facing down (so the button is reachable at the top). The silicone grip will keep it from sliding out during use.
If you’ve assembled it correctly, the strap should look like a closed loop with a tracker tray on the outside and a hook for the velcro tail.
Wear the strap
- Place the loop around the body part (calf, thigh, upper arm, etc.).
- Pull the velcro tail through the routing hook to tighten.
- Fold the velcro tail back onto itself to secure.
- Tighten firmly enough that the tracker doesn’t shift when you move, but not so tight you cut off circulation. You should be able to slide a finger under the strap.
Where each strap goes
See Wearing Trackers for the body-part diagrams and the recommended orientation for each tracker.
Care
- Wipe down with a damp cloth and mild soap after sweaty sessions
- Don’t put the silicone tray in a washing machine
- Velcro picks up lint; pick it clean occasionally to keep its grip
Troubleshooting
- Tracker keeps shifting: Strap is too loose, or you’ve got the silicone facing the wrong way (it should touch your skin, not the velcro)
- Strap leaves a red mark after sessions: You’re tightening it too much — back off until it just barely holds the tracker steady when you move
- Strap slides down (calf or thigh): Mount it on a part of the limb where bone is closer to the surface and where it’s less affected by muscle movement
