Arm Tracker Upgrade Kit

The Arm Tracker Upgrade Kit adds two trackers and two basic straps for upper-arm tracking. Adding it to a Core (6) or Advanced (8) IBIS set gets you close to the coverage of a Full Body (10) set — but not identical: the 6 set in particular doesn’t include foot trackers, so feet are still uncovered unless you also add the Foot Tracker Upgrade Kit.

What’s in the kit

  • 2 × IBIS trackers
  • 2 × basic 30 mm silicone-backed straps

Pair the new trackers

The kit ships pre-paired to your existing receiver as long as you ordered it together with your set. If you bought it later, you may need to pair manually — see Pairing.

Where they go

Upper arms, as close to the elbow as possible. The flat face of the tracker should point up toward the ceiling when you T-pose (arms held straight out to the sides). Tighten until snug — arm trackers are particularly prone to shifting if loose, so this strap can be a touch firmer than your leg straps.

For the recommended orientation, see Wearing Trackers.

Why add arm trackers?

Arms are the second biggest tracking improvement after lower-body (lower body alone covers feet, knees, and hips). Arm trackers add elbow position, which makes:

  • Stretching, dancing, and air-drumming feel natural
  • VRChat emotes that use elbow position work properly
  • Avatar gestures look like your real movements

When to skip them

If you’re only doing standing rhythm games or seated experiences, arm trackers add little. Save your money for foot trackers or a premium strap upgrade instead.
